PAL’s 17,000m2 factory in Shenzhen, China ?just 60 km from Hong Kong - is celebrating its 10th anniversary.

The factory, custom built in 1994, is the largest facility of its type in the world and can produce up to 100 machines annually. It’s justifiably proud of its reputation for producing excellence, all built utilising the ISO9001 quality system, which was first obtained in 1996.

Of the 500 plus staff employed, 84 are graduate engineers and the facility has recently undergone a facelift to ensure that it continues to be a world class manufacturing centre. With so many new customers and visitors and the expansion in staff numbers to help with the increasing business, the reception area and entrance foyer have been totally refurbished. New offices with meeting rooms, training rooms, and toilets have been installed and completing the suite, we have added ‘a state of the art?conference centre. There has also been investment in new manufacturing equipment to further improve efficiency and quality.

AND THERE’S A NEW PAL FACTORY TOO

Due to the increase in orders, a new facility has opened. It’s about 15 minutes away from the main factory and one of its assets is that it has obtained a business licence to provide sales and service to the local market in China.

With its 5,000m2 floor area, the four-storey Process Automation (China) Ltd factory currently employs 92 people ?ten engineers, 48 production workers and 34 general staff.

We’ll be showing a 1/4 scale Gate Type rack plating machine with a Perspex plating tank so that visitors can see clearly the features incorporated in the tank.
