YET MORE WHEEL RIMS - COURTESY OF PAL!

PAL’s Bangalore-based Indian agent, Kamtress Automation Systems Pvt Ltd, has certainly cornered the market in supplying machines for one specific role in India --- the plating of wheel rims. And they have spread the "wheel plating net" even further to encompass Iran too.

Hero, India’s largest motorbike manufacturer was the first to install a machine specifically for plating 6,000 wheel rims each day; next came Aurangabad who needed to plate 120,000 wheel rims every month; then came Neel Metal whose need was to plate 2450 rims a day. Meanwhile, in Iran, the order from Hadid Ravan was for a machine that could deal with 6,600 motorcycle rims every day.

"We are delighted to be able to supply key companies like this with lines designed specifically for wheel rims," says SR Chandrashekar of Kamtress. "All the lines combine PAL and Kamtress expertise and produce superb quality plating. "The challenges in the automotive industry are increasing as never before, and top quality plating is essential. PAL’s machines are renowned all over the world for the quality of work they produce. It is access to this high quality that Indian manufacturers, and enterprising companies like Iran’s Hadid Ravan, are demanding. We work closely with PAL in the design of each machine, to ensure it meets our customers?current and future needs and, when required, can source many key components locally to help keep costs down."

INDIA’S SECOND WHEEL RIM LINE

An astonishing 120,000 wheel rims are plated every month at Aurangabad Electricals. Their plant at Aurangabad is very near to Badve Engineering, a long term PAL:Kamtress customer, so they have seen the Badve machines in operation ?a key factor in them placing their order. Their PAL:Kamtress machine was commissioned in May 2004 and is now in full production.
