PRESS RELEASE Back
NEW EUROPEAN ENTITY FOR PAL
PAL - Process Automation International - has established a new subsidiary, Process Automation (Europe) Ltd - PAL Europe, responsible for sales and marketing throughout the whole of Europe.
PAL Europe will take over the management of existing agents such as Georges Epinette's Index International srl in Italy and Tech-Knowledge Ltd of Israel and is actively seeking similar arrangements throughout mainland Europe and the former Eastern Bloc countries.
In the meantime PAL UK's activities will be phased out and replaced by PAL Europe, but there will be no discontinuity of service to the existing customer base, and future opportunities will be pursued in a seamless transfer of interests.
Galvour AB will continue to handle Scandinavian sales and service.
Bruce Norsworthy, Managing Director of Process Automation (UK) Ltd has been appointed Managing Director of PAL Europe, which will be run initially from PAL UK's Shrewsbury offices (Tel: +44 1743 860086; Fax: +44 1743 860022; Email: PalEurope@aol.com). Geoff Paterson, Managing Director of PAL, Kenneth Wong (Regional Manager - Europe) and Ada Yung (Deputy General Manager ATNT) are Directors of the newly formed PAL Europe.
"We wish Bruce Norsworthy and his team - Nataraja, David Babington and Cora Pitchers - every success with this new venture," says Geoff Paterson. "The decision to form PAL Europe came about due to the ending of the sales agreement between PAL and STS Industrie S.A. of Switzerland, who did sterling work for us over many years. We see considerable opportunities throughout Europe as the EU expands to encompass more countries, and modernisation of equipment and more automation becomes very much the name of the game.
"In recent months we have received orders from three European giants, Fuba, Ruwel and AT&S. The first two were ordering machines for factories close to their home base, while the machine for AT&S is destined for their new factoring opening in China. PAL Europe has a role to play working with European companies establishing new manufacturing bases around the world, as well as in sales direct into Europe."
PAL Europe will be responsible for the sale of automated PAL plating equipment for the electronic and general metal finishing industries as well as spare parts and sub-systems such as the RenoCell. Installation and service will be provided in the first instance by PAL Europe staff, and any long-term project will have the full support of the 20-strong Hong Kong-based service and installation team.
